I follow several people who are, in fact, “tumblr famous” because of their posts regarding Christianity a other sorts. I, myself, have struggled some with this desire to have lots and lots of followers and to befriend people that read my posts and think me smart. I regret that desire. But lately I have been a bit skeptical of a certain person who falls into this category and has a lot of people ask them questions. Now this person is very well read and seems intelligent, but I wonder why they have all of these people who challenge them on theology and admire their walk with Christ and I don’t? I don’t know their heart, but I don’t think that he is “a better Christian” than I, or any smarter.

Now I want to stress that this post is just out of concern, not judgement.

I’ve come to the conclusion that our daily walk should be one brought out of humility. To me, there is a fine line between sharing a thought that has been helpful and bragging about how often one prays or how many times they have read the Bible. I pray that I approach my relationship with Christ, brothers, sisters, and enemies all with a sense of humility and don’t cross that line into arrogance. And if I did, I would hope someone would call me out on it.
